Senior Accountant, Full-time. Southern California Conference is seeking a candidate to serve as a full-time Senior Accountant. The position consists of assisting in the management of month end closing. Preparation and analysis of receivables and payables. Preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations and, plant fund and lease accounting. It also involves reconciliation and maintenance of loan and investment accounts. Good communication and language skills and the ability to read, analyze financial reports, documents and governmental regulations required. A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; Master’s and CPA certification preferred. Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting. Combination of education and work experience may be considered. Knowledge of Adventist Accounting Software International (AASI) and Adventist Payroll System (APS) preferred. Adventist Book Center Manager, Full-time. Southern California Conference is seeking a candidate to serve as a full-time manager for the Adventist Book Center. The position consists of managing the retail operation according to best business practices in the following categories: inventory turnover management, sufficient gross margin, marketing/merchandising, A/R management, business plan development, sales goals maintenance, staff training and management. Qualifications for this position include basic computer and math skills, attention to detail, reliable attendance and consistent presence, knowledge and experience with TAM (the Adventist Book Center retail management software). Good communication and language skills and the ability to maintain confidences are also required. Human Resources Director, Full-time. Southern California Conference is seeking a candidate to serve as a full-time Human Resources Director. The position consists of directing and facilitating the operations of the Human Resources Department throughout the conference territory. This position will work to maintain the conference operation in compliance with State and Federal Wage and Hour laws, North American Division and Southern California Conference policies. The Human Resources Director serves as an advisor on employment issues to conference administration, office of education, schools and churches.
